Benefits of Integrative Nutrition in patient-centered care

Despite being one of the most medically advanced countries in the world, the US population is arguably one of the most unwell. As the demand for more comprehensive approaches for treating illnesses and improving wellness increases, patients look to their healthcare providers to incorporate holistic methods in their care plans to help them heal, strengthen, and thrive.

Integrative nutrition is particularly beneficial for treating patients who experience chronic and nutrition-related conditions such as:

Education in integrative nutrition also helps healthcare providers speak more fluently with the many patients exploring today’s popular diet plans and allows us to speak from an evidence-based perspective to guide patients towards healthy choices. Additionally, patients seeking preventative care or ways to advance fitness training also benefit from working with a clinician who is able develop an integrative nutrition plan.

In sum, this certification better equips healthcare providers to use nutrition as a tool to optimize all patient outcomes.
